ST.
CHRISTOPHER WINDOW
A
traditional window designed to harmonise with the
existing ones in the parish church.
The whole is made up of five individual panels, taken
to the church, and constructed on site. There are
"saddle bars" of phosphor-bronze set into
the stonework about every 450-500mm to which the panels
are literally tied with copper wires, soldered onto
the lead cames of the window. This prevents the window
bowing outwards under its own weight.
The whole window is nearly 5 metres high.
Cost
of window, ( including fitting)
£7500
